
Joe Boros of Saxonburg and currently the director of instruction at Treesdale, won the Tri-State PGA Open Tuesday. He shot a final-round 67 at the Williams Country Club in Weirton, West Virginia. He finished at -5 under with a two-day total of 139, good for a one-shot victory over Shawn McCall of Cranberry Highlands and Oakmont’s Andy Butler. It was the third time Boros has won the event.
