John Koch “Cookie” DeFoggi, 79, of Butler, passed away, Tuesday morning, October 31, 2023, at Concordia in Cabot, PA.
He was born February 17, 1944 in Butler, a son of the late Anthony and Mary (Koch) DeFoggi.
Cookie graduated from Butler High School, class of 1962 and then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps serving in the Vietnam War. He worked at Magnetics in East Butler for 40 years, retiring in 2006.
He was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler. He loved taking care of his yard during the spring, summer and fall months, also he enjoyed all sports.
He was the husband of Dorothy (Druga) DeFoggi for 55 years, whom he married June 1, 1968.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sisters-in-law, Donna Druga and Lorie (Rodger) Stewart. Also nieces, nephews and special great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, James (Lynne Ann) DeFoggi, his sister-in-law, Diana (Tom) Robison and a nephew Zachary Robison.
Private Services will be held for his family. Arrangements by the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler.
