John V. Rodgers, age 73, of Butler, passed away Fri., Sept. 2, 2022 at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Butler on March 8, 1949, he was a son of the late Leroy and Lenore Cherry Rodgers.
He was employed for more than 30 years as a communications technician for AT&T.
John was a member of All Saints Parish, Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church.
He was a Ham Radio Operator – N3MSE — and he also enjoyed photography, hunting and fishing. He especially loved spending time with his granddaughter and vacation trips to Disney with family.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Rodgers, whom he married Oct. 16, 1971; one daughter, Dr. April Rodgers-Reddig and her husband, Dr. Michael Reddig, of Ephrata, Pa.; one granddaughter, Paige Reddig, of Ephrata, Pa.; and his uncle, aunts, and numerous cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother.
Friends will be received in the Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 429 Center Ave., Butler, on Monday from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from All Saints Parish, Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler, on Tuesday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Rick Thompson officiating.
Entombment will take place at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
