Joseph R. “Joe” Zang

Joseph R. “Joe” Zang, 65, of Portersville passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022. He was born in Portsmouth, VA on September 16, 1956, to the late Paul and Elma (Black) Zang. Joseph graduated from Hampton High School. He served his country honorably in the United States Army. Joseph later went on to be employed as a butcher for Kroger and Bilo Foods in Harmony. He loved to hunt and fish. Joseph was also a gifted taxidermist. He was beloved by his family, friends, and in-laws. Joseph was the perfect husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was the beloved husband of Margaret “Mimi” Zang of 45 years; father of Melissa (Dee) Long-Higgs, Nathan (Ellen) Zang, and Tucker, his beloved cat; brother of Timothy (Carol) Zang and Richard (Kathie) Zang; and grandfather of Logan Long, Adisyn Zang, Henry Zang, and Oliver Zang. Burial will be held privately at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies through the SPENCER D.
