Kadell M. Schnur, 36, of Chicora, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.
Kadell was born in Butler on August 16, 1988. He was the grandson of Nancy C. Ritzert Schnur of Chicora and the late Kenneth J. Schnur, his loving grandparents, who raised Kadell as their own son.
He was a 2007 graduate of Karns City Area High School. Kadell had been employed for 13 years as a service writer at Snow’s Polaris in Chicora. He enjoyed music and attending concerts, working on lawn mowers, attending car shows, antique tractors, all things outdoors—campfires, hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing, weekend getaways, and spending time with his girlfriend, Sara Bartholomew.
In addition to his grandmother, Nancy, he is survived by his aunts and uncles, Marjorie Shaner of Palm Harbor, FL, Tammy and Tim Bowser of Chicora, Marsha Schnur of Chicora, Jeffery and Tracy Schnur of Emlenton, and Terry and Jody Schnur of Butler; his cousins, Tiffany (Jesse), Justin (Rachel), Kayla (Ben), Joshua, Breanna, Brandyn, Joel, Tanner (Kourtney), Halie, Aspen, and Dakota, as well as a number of second cousins.
In addition to his grandfather, Kenneth, he was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Ann Schnur.
Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Rd., Chicora, from 4-7 p.m. Monday. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday from St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in the Village of North Oakland with the Rev. Matthew McClain, pastor of St. Clare of Assisi Parish, officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
