Karen L. “Monga” Hartman, age 70, of Prospect, passed away at her residence on Friday evening, May 17, 2024, with her loving husband of 50years by her side.
Born January 4, 1954 in Bellevue, Allegheny County; she was the daughter of the late Frank and Carrie Ritchie Beining.
She was a 1971 graduate of Seneca Valley High School, and a 1973 graduate of Mercy School of Nursing. She began her career as a registered nurse at Passavant, then worked private duty, Seneca Hills Camp nurse, and retired in 2016 from nursing in the Slippery Rock Area School District.
Monga enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, sewing, camping, singing, motorcycle rides with her husband, and time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Gary W Hartman, who she married April 20, 1974; her children Jami (Ray) Monk of Canton, OH, Jeremy (Amanda) Hartman of Birdsboro, PA, Joshua (Ashley) Hartman of Portersville, and Jason (Allie) Hartman of Portersville; nine grandchildren Logan, Aubrie, Faith, Samuel, Kylie, Charlee, Charlotte, Emma, and Wyatt; three sisters Rose (Frank) Spithaler, Agnes (Michael) Whann, and Debbie (Jeff) Banks; and her sister in law Debbie (Kenny) Kniess.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, and four sisters.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 from 4pm to 7pm at the Raisley Funeral Home and Cremation Servies, pc., 387 Main Street, Prospect. The funeral will follow at 7pm, in the funeral home, with Rev. Keith Kozik, officiating.
