A Karns City man is facing several charges after an alleged rape.
The incident happened in July 2023 when State Police were called to Butler Memorial Hospital to speak with a rape victim. The victim told officers that she went to 21-year-old Logan Bowser’s home in Concord Township to talk with Bowser. He kept pressing the victim to have sex but she repeatedly declined.
After Bowser was denied several times, he allegedly raped the victim. After the alleged rape the victim went home then to the hospital where a sexual assault collection kit was collected.
While officers spoke with the victim about the rape, she also shared messages from Bowser apologizing. Later that day Bowser was arrested. DNA samples from the sexual assault collection kit later identified Bowser.
Bowser is facing a charge of rape as well as indecent assault forcible compulsion and false imprisonment.
