Katherine “Kay” Barron, 97, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on November 2, 2020 at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born March 2, 1923 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Michael Kotula and the late Mary Danlyk Kotula.
Katherine worked as a Book Keeper. She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Butler. Katherine enjoyed sewing, many crafts and line dancing.
Surviving are her sons William Barron, Jr of Butler, PA and Michael (Amy) Barron of Atlanta,GA; one granddaughter and her husband Sydney (Adam) Josephson of Atlanta, GA; and a great granddaughter, Jeri Josephson of Atlanta, GA; a brother, John (Dawn) Kotula of Kittanning, PA; also numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Barron, Sr., who she married on April 25, 1942 and who passed away on December 18, 1988; one brother, Michael Kotula; and two sisters, Mary Kotula, and Stella Mariano.
Friends will be received Monday, November 9, 2020 from 12:00 (noon) to 1:00 pm at Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA.
A Blessing Service will be held on Monday, November 9, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Funeral Home with Deacon Mitch Natali, officiating.
Due to Covid-19 State Guidelines, visitors are required to supply their own and to wear a facial covering along with maintaining social distancing. Groups are limited to 25 people.
