Congressman Mike Kelly is introducing a bill that aims to improve local rail lines.
The bill is known as the “Short Line Railroad Tax Credit Modernization Act” and it was introduced with bipartisan support.
Kelly says a tax credit that is already in law leaves out some short-line railroads that impact local communities. This bill aims to modernize and expand that tax credit so the money can help companies and businesses that need the localized freight service.
