Kenneth E. “Ken” Hartman, 66, of Chicora Rd, Butler, Oakland Twp., passed away unexpectedly of natural causes, Thursday, November 30, 2017 at his home.
Kenneth was born in Clarion on December 8, 1950. He was the son of the late Albert K. and Jean Elizabeth Ohnsman Hartman. Ken was a 1968 graduate of Karns City High School. Ken was of the Butler United Methodist Church, and a longtime, well-known, active member of Crossfire Ministries.
Ken enjoyed reading his bible, had a great love for music, and worked for Crossfire Ministries as their sound technician. He looked forward to camping at Clear Creek State Park, family “get-togethers”, and watching Steeler football.
He is survived by two children, Kylie J. Codispot, and her wife, Ashlee, of Lyndora, and Neal K. Hartman, of Butler; a brother, Jeff Hartman of Akron, OH; three sisters, Susan Hartman, of Gibsonia, Joye A. Shumaker, and her husband Jeff, of Fairview, and Kim McDonald, of Merle’s Inlet, SC; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Friends will be received from 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora-Fenelton Rd., Chicora. A memorial service will be held at the Crossfire Campus of the Butler United Methodist Church, 1802 North Main Street, Butler, at 12 noon on Saturday, December 16.
