Kenneth “Ken” D. McKeever, 65, of Butler, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025. He was born on November 17, 1959, and was the son of Thomas and the late Loraine McKeever. Ken graduated from Alfred University with his bachelor’s degree and went on to get his master’s degree at Pitt. He worked at AK steel for 24 years then at PLS Logistics until his retirement. Kenneth passionately pursued many hobbies, was a long-term scout leader, taught kids at church, volunteered at the local food bank, loved reading and history. He loved trying new things once. He loved the Lord and his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Ken was a member of the Community Alliance Church where he led a small group, a member of the Keystone Button Club, and was the editor of the newsletter of the PA Button Society. He did his best to present himself to God as one approved, a worker who did not need to be ashamed and who correctly handled the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).
Ken is survived by his wife, Nancy Day McKeever whom he married October 16, 1982; his son Isaac (Amy) McKeever and daughter Katie (Patrick) Mentzer and four granddaughters; his father Thomas McKeever; his sister Kimberly (Wayne) Hilker and brother Kevin (Darla) McKeever.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 10-10:45 AM with a memorial service at 11 AM at Community Alliance Church, 800 Mercer Road, Butler, PA.
