Kenneth R. Bennett, 67, of Renfrew, Pennsylvania, passed away on October 29, 2017 at his residence.
He was born March 29, 1950 in Braddock, Pennsylvania to the late Stanley Bennett, Sr. and the late Mary Barnes Bennett.
Kenneth was a graduate of Shannock Senior High in Rural Valley, PA and Erie Tech Trade School where he received his welding certificate. He was a welder/fitter for over 20 years at Wooding Industrial Corp. retiring in August 2015. After his retirement he worked as a part time van driver for W. L. Roenigk, Inc. In his younger years he enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Kenneth also enjoyed spending time with family, with his pet cat Zoey and watching the cooking channel and looking for deals on eBay, fishing, gardening, target shooting, fixing old tractors in his workshop and traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Linda L. Bennett, whom he married on February 28, 1994; two sons, Kenny Bennett, Jr. of Kittanning, PA, and Chad Bennett of Kittanning, PA; one daughter, Carolyn Bennett of Ford City, PA; two sisters, Dorothy Hartzell of Butler, PA, and Lori Dimaio of Rural Valley, PA; four nieces; and two nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Stan Bennett; two brothers, Stan Bennett, Jr., and Dennis Bennett.
Friends will be received Sunday November 5, 2017 from 3 to 7 pm.at Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA. A funeral service will be held immediately following at 7:00 pm with Pastor Eric Park of First United Methodist Church, officiating.
