Former NASCAR champion Matt Kenseth is coming out of retirement to take over the #42 Chip Ganassi Racing ride. Kenseth is replacing Kyle Larson, who was fired after making a racial slur while competing in a virtual race two weeks ago. Kenseth is a two-time Daytona 500 champion, who won the 2003 Cup title. He retired in 2017 after being forced out when Joe Gibbs Racing decided to choose a younger driver.
