The CEO of Kraft Heinz says the ketchup package shortage will soon be coming to an end.
In an interview with Time Magazine, the Miguel Patricio says that the company will soon be ramping up eight new production lines on ketchup packets to help meet demand.
He also added that there is not a ketchup shortage, but just a ketchup package shortage. More restaurants moved to the individual servings of ketchup as a result of the pandemic, meaning bottles weren’t being used as often.
The new production lines will begin next month.
