An annual event for local kids will be held on Saturday.
Dr. Stu Surkosky of Care Chiropractic:
“Everything from vision screening to dental education, evaluations of hearing and scoliosis, drug and alcohol awareness, child car-seat safety, fingerprinting and child photo ID documentation. Its a program that from the inception is to make sure children are healthy.”
The 19th edition of Kids Day America will be Saturday at the Butler Farm Show Grounds in Connoquenessing Township, Butler County from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is focused on children’s health, safety, and environmental awareness.
There will also be a car cruise that will be judged by kids, mascots and a celebrity dunk tank. Proceeds from this event will benefit a local organization dedicated to helping those in need.
“The only thing that we ask is that if folks come in and they want to have a hot dog or a slice of pizza, we’ll have a service there for that and all proceeds go back to the Lighthouse Foundation. There will also be a basket auction, a 50/50, and a mystery box,” Surkosky explained.
The event will go on rain or shine. Admission and parking are free.
