A Kittanning man has been convicted of domestic violence and sexual assault of multiple young women and girls.
According to Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry, 25-year-old Zachary Baum was found guilty of multiple sexual assault and rape charges after a week-long trial in Armstrong County Court.
Three victims between the ages of 16 and 20 came forward in August of 2022 accusing Baum of stalking, strangling, and raping them.
Baum used social media like Snapchat and Facebook to connect with the victims between 2020 and 2022. One victim told police Baum assaulted her inside his vehicle and then left her on the side of the road. Another victim says Baum hit her and then assaulted her inside his apartment.
Baum will be required to undergo a Sexually Violent Predator evaluation and will be required to register as a sex offender for life. His bail has been revoked and he will remain in the Armstrong County Jail until he is sentenced in late January.
