WPIAL Basketball Playoffs:
–The Knoch girls defeated Hopewell 53-21 in the Class 4A First Round. The Knights held Hopewell to just 13 points through the first three quarters. Nina Shaw led Knoch with 24. The Knights will travel to Quaker Valley in the Quarterfinal round Friday. Tip-off is 7pm. Pre-game on WISR will be 6:45pm.
–The Mars girls defeated Lincoln Park 56-29 in the Class 5A First Round. Alexis Cashdollar and Olivia Donnelly each scored 17 points to lead the Planets. Mars will meet Oakland Catholic in the Quarterfinals Friday.
District 9 Playoffs:
–Brookville won the Class 3A championship following a 64-37 victory over Moniteau last night.
