Kyle Larson took home the checkered flag on Saturday night as he won the Federated Auto Parts 400 in Richmond.
Saturday was the final race of the 2017 regular season for NASCAR’s Cup division. Dale Earnhardt Jr., who finished 13th in Saturday’s race, was officially eliminated from championship contention. Earnhardt Jr., who will retire at the end of the 2017 NASCAR season, needed a win on Saturday to stay in the hunt for the points championship. He has never won a NASCAR points championship.

NASCAR returns on Sunday, September 17th as they race the “Tales of the Turtles 400” at Chicagoland. Prerace coverage begins at 2pm on WBUT and online at wbut.com. The green flag will drop around 3pm.
