An estimated 2,000 volunteers, bikers, and firefighters gathered to say their final farewells to Corey Comperatore this morning.
The former Buffalo Township Volunteer Firefighter was killed by the gunman in Saturday’s shooting at the rally for former President Trump.
A fire truck carrying Comperatore left Freeport’s Laube Hall around 8:30 a.m. and met with bikers and other firetrucks at the high school.
The procession went north on Route 356 to Winfield Road en route to a private service which began at 11 a.m.
Following the service, the procession will pass his home on Sarver Road before returning to Route 356 and heading back to Freeport.
There are local closures and parking restrictions in the Freeport Borough throughout the day.
