Larry Eugene Hutchison, 82, of Meridian, peacefully passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024.
Born May 5, 1942, in Hilliards, he was the cherished son of the late Levere “Bud” and Edith Messmer Hutchison.
Larry earned a degree in Electronics and devoted his career to Tech Services at Armco’s Melt Shop, where he served with dedication until his retirement in 2000.
A valued member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, he found joy in his community and supported those around him.
He was a member of the Meridian Vets Club, and also of American Legion Post 778.
Larry was not only an exceptional hunter and fisherman but, more importantly, a devoted husband, father, and friend whose love and kindness touched everyone he met.
His loving wife, Beverly Moore Hutchison, whom he married Aug. 24, 1963, survives him, along with their three children: Tim Hutchison and his wife, Jo-Beth (Paczek), of Renfrew; Jodi Wilson and her husband, Mitchell, of Chambersburg, Pa.; and Melissa Leasure of Fort Mill, SC. Larry was also blessed with six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life.
Friends are invited to pay their respects at Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler, on Tuesday, Nov. 26, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
A service honoring Larry’s life will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at 11 a.m.at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., Butler, with Rev. David M. Phillips, Senior Pastor, officiating.
Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Butler County Memorial Park.
