There’s a new class of Pennsylvania State Police officers.
It was the 164th graduating class from the State Police Academy.
State Police Commissioner Robert Evanchick says 64 new troopers graduated from the class. He adds that they are joining the force during a time when law enforcement is facing a number of challenges.
“You will be scrutinized for any decisions you make, and sometimes for decisions that other law enforcement officers make,” Evanchick told the class. “You need to be true to yourself. But you need to be true to yourself, a call of honor, and to do the right thing. Even when doing the right thing may be the most difficult decision you ever make.”
The new troopers will begin their first day on September 6th.
