The latest report from the Butler Memorial Hospital is in concerning COVID-19 cases.
One more person has died locally at Butler Memorial Hospital this week as a result of serious COVID-19 symptoms.
The hospital reported that one COVID-related death to the state on Monday. That brings the total of deaths at the hospital in October, thus far, to 28. That is the highest number of deaths in one month at Butler Memorial since January of 2021. In January, there were 31 deaths at BMH.
According to the Butler Health System, as of Thursday morning 47 patients were hospitalized at Butler Memorial Hospital with seven of those in the ICU. This is an increase of five patients hospitalized compared to Monday as well as the same number of COVID patients in the ICU.
