LaVaune E. Matuszweski, 78 of Fenelton, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at the VNA Inpatient Hospice .
She was born June 7, 1940 in Center Township, Pennsylvania to the late LeRoy G.T. Voland and the late Emma B.C. Heist.
LaVaune was a member of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
She is survived by one son, Daniel Paul Matuszewski of Fenelton,PA; one grandson; one brother, Carl Voland of Butler, PA; one sister, Joyce Voland of Butler, PA; and number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley B. Matuszewski whom she married on February 28, 1959 and who passed away on March 18, 2006; and one son Michael Howard Matuszewski.
Friends will be received at Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA. on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc., 124 East North St. Butler, PA, with Dr. Rev. Alden Towberman of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating.
Private burial will take place in the North Liberty Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Marks Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 West Jefferson Street, Butler, PA 16001.
