Lawrence “Bud” Elmer Sloan, age 94, of Whitestown, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022, following an illness.
Born February 23, 1928; he was the son of the late Harold and Clara Shiever Sloan.
He was a member of the Mt. Nebo Presbyterian Church in Whitestown.
Bud was a US Army Veteran who honorably served his country from 1950 to 1952.
In the early 1990’s, he retired from the former Halstead Mitchell in Zelienople where he was a truck driver, mechanic, and the garage dispatcher.
He enjoyed gardening, was a NASCAR Fan, and a collector of anything FORD Trucks.
He is survived by his special companion Beth Ann Fisher; sisters Ruth Spack of Butler, Mabel Giles of Meadville, Jean (Ernie) Oesterling of Butler; many nieces and nephews; and his furry friends Marty and Cookie Dough.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Peg Fassinger, Beryl Bloom Gilliland, Ethel Kradel, Clyde Sloan, Harold Sloan, Robert Sloan, and Ralph Sloan.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, from 11am to 1pm at the Raisley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, pc., 387 Main Street, Prospect.
Funeral service will follow the viewing, 1pm in the Funeral Home, with his pastor, Rev. Jason Sinagra, officiating.
Interment will be in Mt Nebo Cemetery, Whitestown.
