A lawsuit against the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh is moving forward after a ruling by a Pennsylvania judge.
The suit from parents and survivors of child sexual abuse alleges the diocese became a public nuisance because they didn’t fulfill their obligation under state law to report members of the clergy who were abusers.
The lawsuit doesn’t seek money, but rather wants to know the names and information about the alleged abusers.
The suit was originally filed in September of 2018.
