Anyone interested in enjoying nature and learning the basics of tree identification in the winter are invited to an event later this week at Moraine State Park
On Friday, DCNR staff will lead participants on an easy walk through the Five Points Trail on the North Shore.
During the hour-long activity, participants of all ages can learn more about a variety of trees and forestry techniques and tools.
Friday’s session will begin at 1 p.m. and conclude around 3 p.m. Visitors are instructed to dress for the weather. Park staff also recommends that participants bring a drink or snack.
