He worked at Pullman Standard in Butler for 18 years until the plant closed then he was in construction work. He was a member of Saint Wendelin’s Catholic Church, Butler, PA. and a member of Happy Hunters Sportsman’s Club of Fenelton, PA.
He enjoyed working on tractors and being with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Helen K. Miller Rodgers. 2 daughters: Deborah Hudson of Butler; Mary Weichey, Butler, Dave Weichey, of Butler A son, Joseph Rodgers of Butler.
3 granddaughters, 4 grandsons, 1 great-granddaughter, 6 great-grandsons. Sister-in-law, Clara Rodgers in Portersville, PA. Several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by a son Leo E. Rodgers, Jr. brothers: George Rodgers, Clyde and Darlene Rodgers, Paul and Evelyn Rodgers, Rege and Margaret Rodgers, Edward Rodgers. A sister: Mary and Jack Butler.
Friends received Steighner Funeral Home Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be Friday, October 7, 2022 11 AM at Saint Wendelin’s Catholic Church, Butler, PA. with Reverend Matt McClain officiating. Burial in Rodgers Family Cemetery, Butler, PA.
