Pennsylvania’s secretary of health is hopeful that as 2021 begins, vaccinations will continue to rapidly increase.
“I think that you’ll find that in Pennsylvania and around the nation, that as we enter 2021, the rollout will continue to improve and become more efficient,” Dr. Rachel Levine said. “And in Pennsylvania we certainly stand ready to immunize everyone according to the schedule set by the CDC that wants a vaccine.”
Levine believes that the expectations set by Operation Warp Speed were unrealistic due to the wide scope of the vaccination process.
“[It’s] an unprecedented program, the distribution by Operation Warp Speed to multiple partners throughout the country,” Levine added.
So far, over 132,000 people have received a COVID-19 vaccination in Pennsylvania.
