LeWayne E. Rottman, 67, of Petrolia, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at his home, Wednesday morning, April 28, 2021.
LeWayne was born in Petrolia on January 5, 1954. He was the son of the late Thomas and Leona Y. Delaney Rottman.
He was a 1971 graduate of Karns City Area High School and retired from Witco, Sonneborn, in Petrolia, following more than 43 years of service. He was a 25-year member of Argyle Masonic Lodge #540 F&AM in Chicora and had served the lodge as Past Master and secretary. He was a member of the Rimersburg and East Brady Rod and Gun Clubs, North Butler Hunting and Fishing Club. LeWayne enjoyed the company of his family, especially the “grandkids”. He was an avid sportsman and hunter. He was a proud grandpa when the kids got their deer.
Surviving is his wife, Debra L. Landers Rottman, whom he married in Parker on April 5, 1975. Also surviving are two children, Eric L. Rottman and his wife, Devon, of Parker and Alisha D. Dovey and her husband, Nathan, of Butler; four grandchildren, Owen and Mylee Rottman and Amelia and Natalie Dovey; a brother, Larry Rottman and his wife, Linda, of Butler; his mother-in-law, Georgie Landers of Parker; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Samuel Landers.
Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City, 128 Main St., Karns City, from 5 – 7 p.m. Friday. Members of the Argyle Masonic Lodge #540 F&AM will conduct a memorial service for their departed brother at 7:15 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions to any Masonic charity.
