Drivers should be aware of a local road project that could impact traffic later this week.
According to PennDOT officials, work on the Lions Road bridge impacting Route 422 will take place Wednesday night at 11 p.m. until Thursday morning at 5 a.m.
Crews will be using cranes to remove beams from the bridge in preparation for new construction. Message boards along Route 422 will alert motorists about the work but drivers should use caution in the area. Inclement weather will push the work to the next day.
The $10 million Lions Road project will continue through the end of August with detours posted around the work area.
