Lisa Grubbs, 60, of Sarver passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024. She was born in Erie on March 19, 1964, to the late Kenneth and Geraldine (Wiest) Woolstrum. Lisa graduated from Iroquois High school in 1982, and then continued her education at Penn State Behrend and Edinboro University. She worked at the Aldi Warehouse as a forklift driver for close to 10 years. You could always find Lisa in a volleyball gym. Lisa loved to play and played her entire life but in the past few years she started focusing on coaching the next generation, instead of playing. She loved sharing her knowledge of the game and all of her volleyball girls were like her daughters. Lisa was always looking for little Knick knacks as gifts or “thinking of you” items. This led to her saving various containers like mac n cheese cups, Tide pod containers or fruit cup bowls to craft with; her latest adventures being wreaths, gnomes, and pillows. Lisa was an amazing mother, grandmother and sister. She loved her daughters and grandchildren with all her heart. Lisa never missed one of her daughter’s sporting events. She was an active participant in them. Whether that was cheering them on or coaching. She would drop everything to babysit her grandson and was always looking for toys on Facebook marketplace to spoil him. Lisa would drive every holiday to visit and spend time with her family. Most will fondly remember Lisa for her beautiful smile and her delicious homemade rolls that she brought to all family functions! Mother of Rachel (Taylor) Amerson and Courtney (Tyler) Grubbs; sister of Jeff (Melissa) Woolstrum, Todd (Kathleen) Woolstrum and Jodi Barto; grandmother of Jackson and Carmen Amerson; aunt of Carly, Shannon, Alison, Sebastian and Adam. All arrangements were made privately through the SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 NEW CASTLE RD. BUTLER, PA 16001. WWW.SPENCERDGEIBEL.COM. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 2-4 PM at the Odd Fellow Gazebo at Alameda Park.
