The public is invited to enjoy some great music at a couple of concerts planned for this weekend around the Butler County area.
The Harmony Museum’s artist-in-residence musical weekend begins today with a cello concert at the Harmony Museum Wine Cellar. Student training workshops are planned for Saturday morning and afternoon followed by an evening concert in the Harmonist Barn. Finally, a free Sunday morning concert of sacred music will take place in the Mennonite Meetinghouse. More info on the museum’s website.
A special Butler County Symphony Association Chamber Concert will take place Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Symphony office downtown. A flute, cello, and piano trio featuring a couple of SRU Professors of Music and a pianist traveling from New York City is planned. A suggested donation of $5 will help offset travel expenses. The trio will also perform the next day, Sunday at noon, at SRU.
