Healthy community members are encouraged to help neighbors in need through participation in a few upcoming blood drives.
The first American Red Cross drive is taking place Wednesday from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Center Presbyterian Church in Slippery Rock.
Another drive is planned for Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mars Area High School. Students must be at least 16 years old to participate and those who are 16 need a signed Parent Consent form.
A final drive will take place a week from today (10/17) from noon to 5:30 p.m. at St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church on West Jefferson Street in Butler.
Those able to donate at these drives are asked to make an appointment through the website of the American Red Cross, the Red Cross Blood Donor App, or by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS.
