A couple of local businesses pitched in with free or drastically reduced services to help the city of Butler.
According to Councilman Bob Dandoy, one of the city fire engine needed a major mechanical repair recently. Chief Chris Switala reached out to Hunter Truck Sales and was able to work out a dramatically reduced cost for the work to be completed.
Also, AMS Electronics on Pillow Street recently repaired a piece of equipment on one of the trucks at no charge to the city.
City Council expressed gratitude to these businesses for helping to keep expenses low for taxpayers in the city.
