Slippery Rock defeated Assumption in the first round of the NCAA Division II national playoffs, the final 17-14. The Rock will travel to West Virginia this coming Saturday (November 26th) to take on PSAC East foe Shepherd in the second round at a time to be announced. Grove City defeated FDU-Florham in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) James Lynah Bowl, the final 31-14.
Carnegie Mellon defeated DePauw in the first round of the NCAA Division III national playoffs, the final 45-14. The Tartans will take on North Central (Illinois) this coming Saturday (November 26th) at 1pm eastern.
Washington and Jefferson defeated Hobart in the ECAC Asa S. Bushnell Bowl, the final 35-18.
The ECAC Clayton Chapman Bowl, which was scheduled to feature Westminster and SUNY Brockport on Saturday, was canceled.
