The number of local COVID cases went down over the past week.
According to the Department of Health, there were 92 new cases of COVID since last Monday—that’s down about 30 from the previous week.
However, statewide hospitalizations have gone up slightly with now more than 500 people receiving treatment.
Local hospitalization rates connected to COVID-19 have dropped over the past week.
According to the Butler Health System, as of Monday morning three patients were hospitalized with COVID at Butler Memorial Hospital with no one in the ICU.
This is five fewer COVID patients hospitalized and the same number of COVID patients in the ICU compared to one week ago.
