The Cranberry Township EMS will host their “Save a Life Saturday” event on Saturday, November 11th from 10am to 2pm at the Cranberry Township Municipal Center Building’s Town Square.
Saturday’s session will teach participants how to recognize symptoms of cardiac arrest and how to start chest compressions until EMS personnel arrive. The training is based on the American Heart Association’s five-minute Hands-Only course.
At noon on Saturday, a reunion of cardiac arrest survivors and the responders who saved them using their CPR training will take place.
Saturday’s national initiative is the fifth annual event that the Cranberry Township EMS has hosted. The agency plans on training at least 100 people in CPR. There is no fee and no appointment needed for Saturday’s training.
