It was announced earlier that the pandemic has forced the cancellation of this summer’s Pennsic War gathering at Cooper’s Lake Campground.
Now loyal attendees of the popular event have launched a fund-raising campaign to benefit the United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania’s COVID-19 efforts in Butler County.
The campaign is encouraging all Pennsic event goers to donate $10 each in an effort to raise $100,000 to fight hunger and housing issues brought on by record high unemployment.
Donors can choose to contribute to the United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania in Butler County or the Portersville Food Pantry by clicking here. More than $7,000 has been raised for the United Way thus far.
