A local organization will receive a boost in state grant funding to help improve career-related experiences and opportunities.
The Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry recently announced that the Tri County Business Education Partnership has been awarded $150,000 through a Business Education Partnership grant.
This funding will help connect schools, employers, parents and students to identify gaps between education and employment as well as build workforce capacity and provide career awareness to young people about high-demand occupations in this region.
A total of 22 organizations statewide received about $3 million through this program which is federally funded through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act.
