The public is invited to attend a book talk and signing by a local historian tonight.
The Butler County Historical Society is hosting an afternoon gathering with author Jason Cherry from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Senator Lowrie House on West Diamond Street.
Cherry will discuss his new book William Trent: Factor of Ambition and share how this influential merchant negotiated on the western frontier.
Books will be available for purchase at the event or on Amazon.
