A local historian will be on hand later this week to present on the history of local industries that preceded Butler’s local state parks.
On Wednesday (February 19th), historian and author Polly Shaw will be at Moraine State Park to discuss the industries that were found in today’s Moraine and McConnells Mill State Parks.
Some of these industries included coal, oil, iron furnaces, as well as lime kilns and other natural resources.
Wednesday’s presentation will be held from 1pm to 3pm at the Region 2 Office.
