Local storyteller and historian Bill May will speak Thursday on the history of Butler’s historic movie theaters.
May’s free presentation will be held at Alameda Park’s Carousel Shelter in Butler Township beginning at 6:30 p.m.
He’ll speak about Butler’s historic theaters- from opera houses to movie theaters- including the Penn, Majestic, Lyric/Capitol, and Butler’s once-grand movie palace “The Butler.”
He will also touch on famous Hollywood stars who once claimed Butler as their hometown.
