A local politician has joined with a state lawmaker to encourage businesses to relocate into Slippery Rock.
A letter from Representative Aaron Bernstine to business owners in the city of New Castle was also signed by Slippery Rock Mayor J.D. Longo.
In an effort to bring jobs to the district he represents, Bernstine hopes that the letter will spotlight the lower property taxes and lack of a wage tax on employees in areas including Slippery Rock.
The letter was also signed by mayors of Beaver Falls, Ellwood City, and New Brighton. New Castle City Council recently passed a storm water management tax on businesses within that city.
