A local man has been indicted on charges of violating federal gun and drug laws.
Department of Justice officials say 41-year-old Darnell Wynn of State Street in Butler possessed more than 100 grams of heroin and more than 10 grams of fentanyl in February of this year.
Authorities also allege that Wynn was in possession of a firearm and ammunition in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. As a convicted felon, Wynn is not permitted to possess a firearm.
The Butler City Police Department conducted this investigation. Wynn faces up to life in prison and a possible fine of $8 million of both.
