A local non-profit organization is offering a free device to local residents to help stay healthy in the cold winter weather.
Breathe Pennsylvania will provide a free cold weather mask to residents within their ten county service area which includes Butler County. The masks are available for $5 to residents outside of the service area.
The breathable foam mask was developed 30 years ago to loop over the ears and provide a warm pocket of air covering the mouth and nose. Cold temperatures restrict the flow of air to and from the lungs of those suffering from respiratory illnesses.
Breathe Pennsylvania is a non-profit organization based in Cranberry Township and dedicated to helping residents in the southwestern part of the state achieve and maintain optimal lung health.
