There is still time for residents to join a local nonprofit organization for a free educational program for friends and family of those dealing with a mental health condition.
Family to Family is an eight week program sponsored by NAMI, or the National Alliance on Mental Illness, that begins Wednesday, March 1st at 6 p.m. and continues weekly through April 19th at NAMI’s Butler office in the Holly Pointe Building.
This two-hour in-person class will include course materials provided at no cost. Trained family members with lived experience will discuss current treatments and therapies as well as local support services.
Class size is limited. Those interested in participating should call or visit the website of NAMI to register by Tuesday.
