Because depression is one of the most common emotional problems in America, Cranberry Township will host a free event next week focusing on how people affected can get help.
The event and resource fair will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 23 inside the Cranberry Township Municipal Center. Organizers say it is free, no registration is required, and refreshments will be available. The program, presented by the Mental Health Coalition of the Cranberry Area Diversity Network, runs from 5 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
The title of the event is “A Close Look At Depression & When To Seek Help.” It will include a special focus on depression among adolescents, depression surrounding childbirth, and resources available to those experiencing depression and other mood disorders.
According to organizers, 16 million American adults reported having at least one depressive episode in the past year alone.
