Students in the Mars Area School District have announced the results of fundraising efforts to benefit a worthwhile cause.
The Mars Area High School Student Council collected over $1,400 to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through a “Spring Eggs-travaganza” event last week.
This student-organized collection took place last Sunday at the Mars Athletic Complex and included activities such as an egg hunt, photos with the Easter Bunny, balloon animals, face painting, and a duck pond.
A large number of students and community members participated in this first annual event.
