Local school districts are remembering the victims of 9/11 with a number of activities and lessons for their students.
The Seneca Valley School District will have the Harmony Fire District display an oversized American flag at the high school’s parking lot when students arrive this morning. Meanwhile at the district’s Haine Middle School, sixth graders will take a virtual field trip of the 9/11 museum in New York.
At Mars Area High School, students and staff members planted 2,977 American flags along Route 228 in front of the high school yesterday—one for each person who died in the September 11th attacks.
The flags will be taken down after today.
