Two local school districts have received international recognition for successfully motivating and academically preparing students for Advanced Placement Tests.
Butler Area School District and Seneca Valley School District are two of 447 school districts across the U.S. and Canada to earn placement on the 8th annual AP District Honor Roll from the College Board.
To receive this recognition, districts must increase the number of students participating in Advanced Placement classes while also increasing or maintaining the number of students earning AP Exam scores of three or higher. AP exams are given in 38 different areas of study.
This is the first time that Butler has made this list and the third time for Seneca Valley.
